Gemotions

The rhythmic click-clack of the keyboard filled the otherwise quiet apartment. Michael leaned back in his chair, the glow of the monitor reflecting in his eyes. He had just finished a particularly challenging coding project and was savoring the feeling of accomplishment. A small bottle of iced tea sat on his desk, the condensation cool against his fingertips.

"A hamster, really, Leo?" he asked, a slight smile on his face. "Won't that be a lot of responsibility?"

Leo paced in front of him, his voice animated. "It's not that much! They're low maintenance, and think of the cuteness factor!" He paused, eyes sparkling. Michael chuckled. "I’m happy with my own company right now." The thought of a furry little creature running about the apartment brought a frown to Leo's face.
